When you think of Bill Gates, you think of technology, innovation, and global philanthropy; absolutely not melodrama, baby showers, and Tulsi Virani. But in a surprise twist that no one saw coming, the Microsoft co-founder is heading straight into the world of Indian television’s most iconic soap opera, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.’
Yes, you read that right. According to The Times of India, Bill Gates will soon make a virtual cameo in Ekta Kapoor’s hit reboot series. The storyline is ready to unfold over three episodes where Smriti Irani’s beloved character, Tulsi, will have a heartfelt video conversation with Gates himself.

On-screen, Bill Gates will appear as himself, discussing the work of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The conversation between Gates and Smriti Irani aims to spread awareness about maternal health and the well-being of newborns.
Reports state that Smriti Irani wanted to bring an important social issue to the forefront through entertainment. “Smriti has always believed in using storytelling to drive social change. This time, she wanted to highlight the health of pregnant women and children,” the reports said.
This isn’t the first time the actress-turned-politician has used ‘Kyunki’ as a medium for social awareness. Over the years, the show has touched on topics like body positivity and women’s empowerment in addition to generational differences.
Produced by Ekta Kapoor, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’ has already made waves since its launch earlier this year. It has consistently stayed among the top five shows on the TRP charts. Recently, the series delighted fans with another nostalgic crossover when Sakshi Tanwar reprised her role as Parvati Agarwal from ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’ to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
